The advantage of an IP entry system is the ability to have multiple display screens in separate rooms for room to room conversation over a wireless network as well as video & audio communication with any visitors at the door or gate.
2-wire intercoms are a quick way of upgrading an existing wired analogue system without having to run new network cables saving time and money on the installation.
If priority is a reliable audio signal for remote operation without the need for a 3g or 4g mobile data signal then GSM intercoms are the recommended option. GSM intercoms are by far the most reliable for receiving remote intercom calls to mobile phones.
